Making the Connections between Partners

To make the connections between different service providers, Maine’s North Star Alliance has created a network for service providers to share information, leads and contacts.  The network also meets on a monthly basis to provide questions and answer sessions for cross-resource training.

The network is composed of personnel from local and state economic development agencies, local workforce investment boards, business assistance outreach in career centers, as well as educational providers and institutions, industry groups and another other relevant groups or organizations.  The objective is to make the connections between the different work that everyone is undertaking and facilitate information-sharing to ensure that work is undertaken collaboratively as opposed to many individual interventions.

Documents prepared by different service providers, such as the Workforce Pillar Industry Liaison monthly report, are share extensively through to network and all peripheral parties to ensure that everyone is up to date with the work that is being undertaken and future endeavors.
