Home Page Redesign
Introductory text:
Think of this web space as a garage: A place for pragmatic people to come together and exchange ideas, insights, tools and solutions. By sharing, we will accelerate our innovations in workforce and economic development. We will figure out faster "what works" to build prosperous regional economies in today's global marketplace.
Borrowing from Hewlett-Packard's culture of innovation, we have rules in this garage. Check them out. If you like what you see, then join us.
You can join this workspace by filling out the form below. Learn more about the space by visiting our site map. Check out the backstory of Wired Nation
to understand more about us. Keep up-to-date with what's going on in
the Wired regions, and learn how you can adapt these ideas to your own
situation. If you have questions, check out our FAQs.
Strap on your goggles, it's a whole new game.
========
Key elements of redesign:
(I inserted some comments/questions - Brendan)
- Edgy, energetic
- Video hole for YouTube -- (Veoh will provide better quality, do we have some videos in mind?)
- MP3 link to Wired Nation podcasts -- (Will
we host MP3's and embed them in Near-Time pages? We can do this and
then enable users to subscribe to the podcast straigt from Near-Time.
Otherwise, are we just going to link to them hosted on a DOL page?)
- Widget with scrolling feeds (Brian has built these)
- Link to Site Contents here
- Link to the "backstory" of Wired Nation here
- Hole for Wufoo form to sign up and express interest in Wired Nation (What fields should we include, Name, E-Mail... anything else? We need to discuss the action of this form as we can't automatically create a user with a Wufoo form. We can however setup an offer code that could be emailed to users who wish to join Wired Nations)
